| I think that support is important now because of the economy. So many people are losing their jobs and need help, not just financially, but emotionally. I was watching the news last night and saw a story involving local doctors who were saying that they were seeing increasing numbers of patients who were suffering from weight problems, stress, anxiety, depression, heart problems, and who needed help with addictions like smoking and drinking. One doctor said he had patients who had given up smoking and drinking, some for years, and went back to it after losing their jobs and/or homes due to the recession. I hope to see support groups emerging for people who have lost jobs and/or homes due to the bad economy. I know that having friends and family to talk to really helped me find direction and solace when I lost my job after more than three years. Has anyone seen such groups anywhere? Where do you find support in these tough times? Have you picked up a habit that you thought you had kicked forever? I'd love to know!
