Will Jon and Kate Gosselin announce their divorce on Monday's show?

A TLC ad for the special one-hour episode of "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" promises an important announcement when the show airs on Monday, June 22.

At one point, Kate comments, “Recently, we’ve made some life-changing decisions; decisions that will affect every member of our family, ones that we hope will bring each of us some peace.”

It's not official, but most people think that they will announce a divorce. Other folks think it's all a bunch of ratings-boosting media hype.

What do you think the big announcement will be? Who's side are you on, Kate's or Jon's? Do you think the show's popularity was the reason for their marital problems?

Breakfast Club Star seeing double

One of my all time favorite 80's stars Molly Ringwald is seeing pink and blue! The Breakfast Club star and her husband Panio Gianopoulous welcomed their twins Adele Georgiana and Roman Stylianos on Friday, July 10. Adele arrived first at 9:01am, followed by her brother Roman at 9:04am.

Adele and Roman join big sister Mathilda, 5.

Molly has recently made a TV comeback on another one of my favorite shows, Secret Life of An American Teenage. She plays mom to a pregnant 15 year old and deals with all the issues surrounding teen pregnancy and raising a baby.

Baby Einstein Anyone?

My angle just loves his Baby Einstein and I thank God everyday for the people that made such wonderful videos for babies! --> Let this serve as a clue to what Baby Einstein is! :P

Anyway, anyone else here can suggest a similar multimedia product? We also got Brainy Baby however, I believe it's for babies 1 year and older. Baby Einstein on the other hand has vids for newborns till 2 years of age (if I'm not mistaken).

Bratz Dolls

There has been much talk about the controversial Bratz dolls. I have a 2 and a 1/2 year old little girl, so I pay much attention to the Bratz talk. Especially, since she has asked me on several trips to Target, if she could have one.

I was reading this Australian article which stated, the controversial Bratz dolls are now being marketed to girls as young as three.

Phoebe "Sugar" is dressed in a fluffy pink jacket with pink and black underwear, while Roxxi "Spice" has an open pleather jacket and skimpy red and black lingerie.
Both dolls have milk bottles hanging off chains strapped to their legs.

When parents asked the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to remove the dolls from store shelves, the Consumer Commission said it was powerless to strip the dolls from the shelves, saying there is no arbiter for bad taste.

We live in a society filled with pedophiles. In the news we read about and see, time and time again, men caught preying on little girls. Should toddlers really be depicted holding their bottles or sippy cups while dressed in lingerie.

Beyonce Knowles could not help feel flattered after being told by the First Lady Michelle Obama that she was a role model for her daughters.

The R&B queen revealed that the US President’s wife had come up to her a day earlier than her performance at one of the inauguration balls.

The 27-year-old was told that both Obama girls, Malia, ten, and Sasha, seven, had a fitting role model to look up to.

“She told me that she was very happy that her children had an artist like myself and — I don’t even feel right saying this - she said she was happy they had me to look up to,” the ‘Sun’ quoted Beyonce as saying.

The Countess of 'Real Housewives LuAnn de Lesseps' getting divorce !

I am a fan of the Real Housewives,my favorites are New York and Orange County.

I was reading the New York Post a couple of weeks ago and there it was on page 6: COUNT 'HOUSEWIFE' COUPLE OUT!

The article went on to say, that Friends of "The Real Housewives of New York City" star Countess Luann de Lesseps say the former model has split with Count de Lesseps.

A close pal said, "They decided to separate. She got wind he was seeing somebody and he didn't answer her when she called. He finally sent her an e-mail saying he was with an Ethiopian woman in Geneva and he was serious with her."

The Ethiopian woman is rumored to be Royalty herself. The Count's Ethiopian lady happens to be none other than Princess Kemeria Abajobir Abajirfar, the granddaughter of King Abajobir Abajirfar, the last King Jimma, Ethiopia. Interesting!

The revelation came as a shock to the countess, who celebrated her 16th anniversary with her husband on March 16.

"Luann was blindsided. She was just devastated," the close friend told Page Six. "They have basically lived apart for many years -- he lives in Europe and comes and goes as he pleases, but she never thought this would happen.

"It has been very rough for her and the children, but she's taking the high road and will remain friends with him," the source added. "She has no intention of making it bitter or becoming angry. She's just trying to come to terms with [the separation and impending divorce]. She feels this is the ultimate test for her to handle this with dignity and grace."

Luann -- whose book, "Class With the Countess," comes out next month -- has told friends that, no matter what, "I will always be the countess."

A rep for Luann said, "It is obviously a very difficult time for the countess and count, but they plan to remain friends and their primary focus will be to do what is best for their two children."

Dora the Explorer is getting a makeover

The cuties cartoon character is ditching her shorts and the neat little backpack for what her creators are calling a "new fashionable look."

Although the new Dora will not be officially unveiled until fall, Nickelodeon and Mattel released a silhouette of the revamped figure that shows her with long locks, a short skirt and pointed ballet pumps.And it has some parents up in arms.

"What next? Dora the Cheerleader? Dora the fashionista with stylish purse and stilettos? Dora the Pop Star with Hoppin' Dance Club and "Juice" Bar?" says an online petition started by two moms, Lyn Mikel Brown and Sharon Lamb, who coauthored the book Packaging Girlhood.

"We can expect it all, because that's what passes as "tween" in the toy department these days."Creators of Dora the Explorer, a favorite character among preschoolers that teaches kids English and Spanish, say they are just making her move with the times.The tween age Dora will live in the big city, attend middle school and have a new wardrobe and accessories.

"For nearly ten years, Dora the Explorer has had such a strong following among preschoolers, catapulting it into the number one preschool show on commercial television," said Gina Sirard, Mattel's vice president of marketing.

"Girls really identify with Dora and we knew that girls would love to have their friend Dora grow up with them, and experience the new things that they were going through themselves.

"The brand captures girls' existing love of Dora and marries it with the fashion doll play and online experiences older girls enjoy."

Critics say they would prefer Dora to grow up true to the character she is as a child."If the Dora we knew grew up, she wouldn't be a fashion icon or a shopaholic. She'd develop her map reading skills and imagine the places she could go," the petition says.

"It's such a sell out of Dora, of all girls."

T.I. sentenced to 366 days in Georgia prison

Music artist, T.I. was sentenced Friday, March 27, to 366 days in a Georgia prison as part of his plea deal with prosecutors over a 2007 felony weapons charge. The charge originated on Oct. 13, 2007, when cops arrested T.I. for attempting to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers. The arrest took place shortly before he was scheduled to headline the BET Hip Hop Awards.

He will be eligible for early release if he demonstrates good behavior. It is interesting to note that if his sentence were one year or less, he would have been mandated to serve the entire length of time in prison without the possibility of parole. Although it is unknown where he will serve his time, court official acknowledged that T.I. will get credit for the 305 days he has already spent in home detention.

T.I., a 28-year-old music artist whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., is required to voluntarily turn himself into prison within the next 30 to 60 days, but is not expected to do so before May 19. According to Northern Georgia District Judge Charles Pannell Jr., T.I. has commitments, which will keep him from being incarcerated before May 19.

Although T.I. originally faced as much as 10 years in prison, he pleaded guilty to a federal weapons charge and agreed to complete 1,000 hours of community service before his sentencing. He also paid a $100,000 fine and will complete an additional 500 hours of community service after his prison sentence is completed. Once out of jail, we will have three years of supervised release.

As part of his community service agreement, T.I. made 262 public appearances, taking part in a pro-voting campaign, worked with children and appeared in the MTV reality show, “Road to Redemption.” He has managed to complete a total of 1,030 hours of the 1,500 community service hours ordered. And finally, as an additional part of the deal, T.I. agreed to forfeit all of the firearms and ammunition involved in the incident and waive his right to an appeal.

It is clear to see that T.I. has taken a bad situation and a big personal mistake and taken responsibility for his actions. He has turned a negative experience into a positive experience by committing to spreading the word to help end violence in our nation's youth population.

Tattoo artist BangBang says Rihanna's gun tattoo is a symbol of strength, power

Rihanna wasn’t thinking about getting a new tattoo when she contacted her friend, BangBang, to visit her home in Los Angeles. The tattoo artist, who lives in New York, arrived at her house to tattoo one of Rihanna’s close pals. When he suggested it was time for Rihanna herself to get a new tattoo, specifically a gun tattoo that they had talked about, she agreed.

BangBang was the tattoo artist who drew the star tattoos on Rihanna’s back, the word, “shhhhh” on her finger and roman numerals on her shoulder. They had originally planned to put one gun below each shoulder, but agreed that they took the focus away from her face, one of her best qualities.

According to BangBang, the gun symbolizes strength and power. He added that Rihanna has more tattoo plans for 2009.

Teen survey on Rihanna and Chris Brown incident revealing

The Boston Health Commission, Division of Violence Prevention, has launched a four-year study on youth dating violence. To find out how teens feel about violence in relationships, they surveyed 200 Boston youth, between 12 and 19, during the period of Feb. 13 to 20, 2009. The topic for youths to comment on was the recent incident involving Chris Brown and Rihanna. A total of 100 percent of the teens surveyed knew about the situation.

The following is a summary of their findings:

71% said arguing was a normal part of a relationship.
44% said fighting was a normal part of a relationship.
51% said Chris Brown was responsible for the incident.
46% said Rihanna was responsible for the incident.
52% said both individuals were to blame for the incident, despite knowing at the time that Rihanna had been beaten badly enough to require hospital treatment.
35% said the media were treating Rihanna unfairly.
52% said the media were treating Chris Brown unfairly.

In addition, a significant number of both boys and girls who participated in the survey said Rihanna was destroying Chris Brown's career. Interestingly enough, the girls weren’t anymore likely than the boys to come to Rihanna's defense. In addition, many teens believed that the reason Chris Brown was so angry was because Rihanna had given him a herpes or another STD.

Rihanna may be asked to testify in case against Chris Brown

According to People Magazine, Rihanna may be subpoenaed to testify against her boyfriend, Chris Brown, who allegedly assaulted her on Feb. 8, following a pre-Grammy party. Experts report that she will most likely be subpoenaed to testify, but can't be threatened with jail time if she refuses.

Witnesses say the couple was reunited last weekend at a home owned by Diddy in Miami. Rihanna's father is supportive of the reunion. If Rihanna doesn't agree to testify, the District Attorney's case could be in trouble, because her statements against him can't be used unless she agrees to testify in the case.

The case has been continued to April 6, 2009.

Octomom is Looking for a New Home

Okay, I love children and I can understand the desire to have lots of them, but this is rediculous! And, don't say it's none of my business, because the taxpayer will probably end up paying for these 14 children. Read what I found out below:

According to a mortgage default notice filed last week with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder’s Office, Miss Suleman’s mother is more than $23,000 behind in payments on her house in the Los Angeles suburb of Whittier.

"It’s not my home. I got to move," said Ms Suleman. "Yeah, I need a new house."

In 2006, Mrs Suleman borrowed $453,750 from the IndyMac Bank, agreeing to make payments on her loan monthly. However, last May, she stopped making the payments and, as of Feb 5, 2009 owes the loaner $23,224.98 in back pay, according to the Notice.

Mrs Suleman filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy last year, claiming she has between $500,000 and $1,000,000 in liabilities. The bankruptcy case was later dismissed.

:w00t: This is my question: How could anyone in their right mind bring six more children into the world when they are living in such a financial mess? Where is the responsibility here? I really feel bad for the kids. Sheesh!!
